12/10/2018 3 Comments When in parisyou may have realised by now - I’m totally in love with Paris. “Paris is not a city, it’s a world.” I’ve put together this ‘when in Paris’ guide, sharing all my top places to visit- some well know and some Parisian secrets! ↷ tRocadero (16e arroNdissement)if you want THE place to see the Eiffel Tower, then Trocadéro is it. Come out of the metro and look to your left - you are greeted with the Eiffel Tower in all its glory! Trocadéro hosts a large patio like area for viewing the Tower night or day, as well as 10,000m2 of green space (Jardin de Trocadéro) divided by the famous water fountains - all opportunities for gorgeous photos! café de flore (6th arrondissement)One of the oldest coffeehouses in Paris - and probably one of the most photographed! located in saint -Germain-des-prés, in the 6th arrondisment, it’s the perfect stop for a quick coffee break & isnstagram photoshoot! Who knows - you might even spot some of the many celebrities who frequently visit - such as Karl Largerfeld or Jean Paul Gaultier. MusÉe de l’orangerie (1sT arrondisment)truely one of the most breathtaking art galleries I’ve been too. You’re truely encapsulated by Monet’s dreamy paintings & the galleries minimalist aesthetic. The perfect way to spend a rainy Paris afternoon. What’s more, the gallery has a lovely bookshop downstairs - plus if you have a student card you can get in for free! 31 rue cambon (1st arrondiSiment)Chanels first store, and het home for many years. This is THE place to be for any Chanel addict. You can see the mirrored staircase, which coco sat on to admire her designs from all angles. There’s no feeling quite like that of being in 31 rue cambon. Chanel having walked the same steps, just feels so surreal! rue de rivoLi (1st arrondisment)asides from the champs Elysee, rue de Rivoli is the place to be for a Parisian shopping spree! It’s a very long road, lined with shop after shop! Home to stores like pull & bear, Stradivarius, forever 21 & Berksha, it’s your one stop shop for all those European brands! angelina (1st arromdissiment)Angelina’s hot chocolate has been drawing crowds since 1903 & was a favourite tea spot for mademoiselle Chanel. The cafe now has international status with shops in Tokyo & Dubai too! However there’s nothing like the original. Visit Angelina on crisp winter day - Angelina will give you a warm parisienne welcome. ♡ MUseé yves saint laurent (16th arrondissment)This museum is a must have for any fashion lover. With over 5000 of ysl’s garments on various exhibition displays, aswell as many of his sketches, personal artifacts and working tools, this museum offers an exclusive look into the designers life and work. There’s also a gorgeous gift shop at the end - offering so many beautiful ysl themed souvenirs. ☆ banks of the sEinelined with endless treasures, the banks of the Seine are a must do for any Paris visit. You can pick up gorgeous unique art pieces, antiques, old books & magazines - something surely will be perfect for a parisienne souvenir. What could be more Parisian than a walk down the Seine? ♡ Repetto (22 rue de le paix - 2nd arrondissiment)a ballerinas dream. It’s not hard to see why! Endless rows of pointe shoes like the shop walls, among tutus & tulle. The shop is also famous for their range of fashion ballet flats, often made in collaboration with designers such as Karl Largerfeld & most recently SIA. even if you don’t intend to buy anything - I think it’s such a beautiful shop to simply look around! i could go on with places to visit in Paris - but I think part of the fun is discovering them for yourself ♡. I’d love to hear Horner people’s top places ♡
