“What an immense impression Paris made upon me. It is the most extraordinary place in the world!" ~ Charles Dickens paris is not a city, it’s a world. A world in which I never wanted to leave ♡ this post details my latest trip as well as a little Parisien haul! Day 1the Haussmann architecture is truley something of a dream - I will never get tired of the little windows & black railed balconies. ☆ Gallerie Lafayette should be a must see on everyone’s list - even if you’re not in it for the shopping - the architecture & glass roof is something of true beauty. The department store has every brand from Dior to Disney as well as souvenirs on the top floor! l’orangerie is somewhere I’ve always wanted to visit - mainly for Monets panoramic water Lilly paintings which didn’t dossapoint. There are 2 rooms dedicated to monets work , as well as the lower ground floor hosting a vast array of paintings from other artists. Even if you’re not interested in art I still think these pieces would wow even the least expecting. ❀ 31 Rue Cambon - Chanel shop & previous apartment. A dream of mine for as long as I can remember was to visit 31 Rue Cambon. A landmark for any Chanel lover - it was where chanel set up her first store & lived above it in the apartment. What I was most excited to see was the famous mirrored staircase , where coco sat to watch her creations be modelled from every angle. It still doesn’t feel real that I’ve been so close to them! day 2is it really a trip to Paris If you don’t go up the Eiffel Tower? For only €9 I could go to the top & the view was totally worth the sore legs to get there. ♡ "A walk about Paris will provide lessons in history, beauty, and in the point of life." Sometimes it’s nice to just as the parisienne would say ‘flâneur’ and the best place to do it is the streets of Paris! Every corner provides new photo opportunities & new places to discover. paris is a fashion lovers dream - with many of the top designers originating from the French capital, there’s an abundance of museums dedicated to their life & work. I visited the yves saint Laurent museum - which was full of YSL pieces , sketches and memorabilia on the designers. I’d thoroughly recommend this if you find yourself in Paris! the arc de triomphe and the champs élysées are another tourist hotspot that you have to visit. There are so many shops on the street such as Sephora, Louis vitton, & H&M and then when you finally reach the end you’re greated by the arc de triomphe ☆ day 3nothibg beats a photoshoot around Paris - every building is just so photogenic & the first signs of autumn really made it magical. 🍂 the Louvre is somewhere you just have to go when in Paris! However unless you’re interested in art - I’d admire it from the outside! Getting this picture of the Mona Lisa was very...difficult to say the least - it’s one thing getting to the front but another getting back out! I’d recommend browsing some of the quieter galleries - the museum was so much bigger than expected! if you find yourself by the Palais Garnier also known as the Paris opera house, I seriously recommend paying a visit to Repetto - at 22 Rue de la Paix. Focusing on the ballet flat & of course pointe shoes - this is seriously a dream for any ballet lover like me. ♡ The most beautiful way to end any day in Paris - seeing the Eiffel Tower light up & sparkle at night. Every hour from around 8/9pm it twinkles for a few minutes and it’s truly magical. “There are only two places in the world where we can live happy. At home and in Paris.” HAULwhats Paris without a little (or alot) of shopping! Here’s what I picked up: yves rocherwe don’t really have any access to Yves Rocher in the U.K. - so I was delighted to see a store on almost every street corner in Paris! Due to liquid restrictions in hand luggage I couldn’t buy hardly as much as I wanted, but still managed to pick up an apricot face scrub which works to help refine skin texture & a raspberry & peppermint hand cream. The raspberry and peppermint scent is SO nice and I wish I was able to bring more home! caudaliecaudalie is my all time favourite skincare brand, but as it originates from France - again it’s less available here. It’s also a lot cheaper in France too! There was a full dedicated store in the Louvre shopping centre where I picked up the vino pure anti imperfections 15 day trial kit - which contains a tonic , serum & moisturiser. At the time of writing this I’ve been using the kit for 4 days and it’s honestly made such a difference to my skin - helping to clear up current breakouts and Banish any oncoming ones. In duty free I also picked up the eau de raisin (grape water) which is an ultra hydrating mist made from the water of grapes - it claims to boost moisture by 127%! biodermawhen I think of French skincare - the first brand that comes to mind is bioderma. Known for its micellar water I knew I’d just have to buy something! I found this travel set for the amazing price of €6.99! It includes a shower gel, mini micellar water, ultra soothing balm and moisturising concentrate. I think this was the best way for me to be able to try out many of their products! forever 21 earringsi love forever 21 jewellery - they always get some really unique pieces that cost so little! As forever 21 is becoming fast extinct in the U.K. I visited a store in Paris and picked up these cubic zirconia earrings - they’re so classy and sparkly! marie anne foucart notebooki simply could not leave this notebook behind - the design by Marie Anne foucart is so magical and serves to remind me of my beautiful time in Paris ☆ Stradivarius tshirtsstradivarius is one of my favourite shops - the always have really unique pieces. I picked up 2 tshirts - one with beige embroidery & another with 3D gems creating the earrings of a female outline. I really like the simplicity of these items & how I can layer them up with a camel coat if needed! Museé yves Saint LAURENT bagand finally - a super chic souvenir of the yves saint laurent museum - I got this canvas bag as it’s totally one of a kind as you can only buy it in that location. It’s such amazing quality and will forever remind on of my trip to Paris. ♡ Zoë x
