5/3/2019 4 Comments The french skiNcare editthe French do everything right, the fashion, the architecture and most importantly - the skincare. I’m sure I’m not alone in saying, that I live for French skincare and all it’s glory. I don’t even want to think of a beauty world without it! There are many brands I’m yet to try, but in this post, I’ll share some of my favourite french skincare brands. ❀ nuxea classic french brand, and a skincare gurus little french secret, Nuxe is one of my favourite skincare brands! Their multipurpose dry oil is a classic product everyone needs to have! You can use it on your face, hair, cuticles, the body etc and it smells heavenly. Nuxe uses plant extracts, rarely used in skincare, such as passionflower, day lily and orange blossom, to Create the most innovative formulas. Part of Frances intellectual property, and deemed one of the most innovative companies in France, if you’re looking to try french skincare, Nuxe is certainly a good place to start! caudaliewould it be any kind of skincare post, if I didnt include caudalie! This brand has truely changed my skin, and defiantly takes the top spot as my favourite skincare brand! Founded on the basis of grapes, and their powerful antioxidant ingredients (one of the most powerful in the world) caudalie has been going strong for 26 years. All their products are natural, and the brand is also a part of the 1% for the planet scheme, planting over 4 million trees worldwide. My favourite products from the brand are: • the moisturising sorbet the most perfect non greasy moisturiser, the texture is just amazing and I’ve reccomended it to countless people! • beauty elixir - a cult classic. 100% natural, this is the most refreshing face mist I’ve ever tried, it has a really unique minty feel on the skin! • vinopure blemish control serum. - my most treasured skincare item of all time! This has completely changed my skin for the better - if you’ve suffering with breakouts, I couldn’t reccomend this enough! Biodermabefore I properly got into skincare myself, bioderma was the first french skincare brand I’d heard of, mainly through their classic micellar water. Bioderma began in the 1970s when pharmacist jean-noël Thorel used his knowledge of biology, to create patented formulas, with the philosophy of ‘biology at the service of dermatology.’ The companies first product was a shampoo, the first of its kind, cleansing the hair without damaging it. Since then, the company has come so far with innovation, always working closely with doctors, to create their formulas. I think this shows in their products, as they’re always so kind and gentle on the skin! I’m pretty new to the brand, as it’s not been that easy to come across in the U.K., until recently, but when In Paris, I picked up a set containing the micellar water, 2 serums and a body wash, all doing wonders for the skin! Kloraneklorane is a brand I think is really understated! 50 years ago in the south of France, pharmacist Pierre Fabre was driven by his passion for plants, and his belief in their benefit for health and beauty. Within his pharmacy, klorane was born. Their founding product, the chamomile shampoo, is still going strong today, along with further ranges such as cornflower, oat milk and mango butter. Personally I’ve tried the oat milk dry shampoo, which I love, it’s so light in the hair, and feels so delicate. I’ve also tried the cornflower floral water, which is I a lovely makeup remover that smells amazing! It’s a brand is really love to explore more, and am very sure I’ll make that happen! yves rocherand finally, Yves Rocher! If you read my blog last week, you’d have seen my full collection! I personally discovered this brand via their perfume, but have grown to love their skin & body care ranges! The company started in La Gacilly - France, with Yves Rocher himself, sending out his products by mail, around his small town. Although the company is worldwide, a lot of the business is still done in its hometown. Created before modern day cosmetics, the brand bases itself upon botanical intelligence, creating effective formulas in the most natural way possible. His brand is based upon compassion and caring, not about slogans and standards. ‘Its a way of living and loving yourself.’ This philosophy is ever present in all the products I’ve tried, and would definitely place Yves Rocher in my top 10 brands. ♡ There are many more french brands, but I’d be here for a long time if I were to list them all! I really enjoyed researching all these brands, and I hope you enjoyed learning about them!
