16/12/2018 0 Comments The chrIstmas makeup editit’s feels like a very long time ago since I did a solely makeup filled post! So today I thought I’d do a Christmas beauty edit, just in time for the big day! Find out which products I’ll be wearing over Christmas & what I love about them! BaseI only really wear primer when I feel I will need it - et if it’s going to be a long day, or I’m warring more makeup than usual - I always fear it will clog my pores & I find my skin is better without it! This being said I find the Illamasqua Hydra Veil really lightweight and perfect for prepping the skin. It’s texture is so unique - it’s like a spring jelly in the pot! For foundation I will only ever use the revlon colourstay - for me - nothing beats it! For so long I find my foundation would rub off my t-zone throughout the day, but since making the switch to this last year, I can believe I hadn’t heard people rave about it! My base doesn’t budge & the coverage can be built up from light to full! I set my base with a powder - usually one from collection ☆ browsfor brows I always tend to stick to my maybelline brow this way kit - I love how natural it is - and the sheer nature of the gel allows you to build up your look to whatever intensity you like. I apply this with a real techniques eyeliner brush, & sometimes use a BBB brow pencil for extra definition! I cannot go without sealing my brows, and I’ve been using the Victoria secret clear brow gel, which I’m actually really liking! bronzer & highlightas much as I’d love a white Christmas I don’t want my skin tone to replicate this! My all time favourite bronzing product is the bourjois sun illusions perfecting cream, which is sadly discontinued in drugstores, but you can get from beauty outlet stores! It’s a dupe for the Chanel tan de solleil - a gorgeous creamy bronzer that I apply with a stippling brush. It gives the most gorgeous sunkist glow, that I wouldn’t think was even possible from a product! As it’s a cream bronzer you can really blend it into the skin, avoiding any harsh lines. Sometimes I set this with a touch of hoola bronzer by benefit. I don’t often use highlighter as I prefer a more natural look, but you’ve got to sparkle at Christmas haven’t you! I think I’ll use the Laura geller baked Illuminator in gilded honey - it’s to most magical bronze shade! eyeshadowmy go to eyeshadow palette is the Barry m fall in love palette, it’s so versitle and pigmented! I intend to use a few shades from this as a base to then apply my most favourite makeup product ever - the stila glitter and glow liquid eyeshadows. If you can find anything more sparkly than these I’ll be shocked! They’re basically pure glittery magic in an eyeshadow form - you don’t need primer or glue, simply apply like a liquid lipstick but to the eyes! These are the most essential Christmas makeup product ever! eyeliner & mascaramy go to eyeliner has recently been the mellow liquid precision eyeliner pen - I just love joe easy it is to use! The jet black formula doesn’t budge, and the tip is perfect for creating the sharpest wings. One of my favourite mascaras is the givency noir couture volume mascara - and not only just for the gorgeous ultra stylish packaging! The wand is perfect for separating each lash & adding volume to create fuller looking lashes! lipstickfinally - what would Christmas be without a little red lipstick? More specifically Chanel red lipstick! This extrait de rouge lipstick in the shade libertine is the most perfect red & is sure to complete any makeup look. 💋 wishing everyone a very merry Christmas,
