i picked up this sample pack of the body shop face mask and I’ve loved using one each week to improve the condition of my skin! Ive tested out and will be reviewing the following: • Himalayan charcoal purifying glow mask • British rose fresh plumping mask • Chinese ginseng and rice clarifying mask Read on to find out what I thought! ↷☆ Himilayan chaRcoal maskwho doesn’t love a charcoal mask? They’re famous for their detoxifying properties, helping to draw out any impurities from the skin. I have to say I was really surprised at how good this mask was! I was expecting your typical charcoal mask, but infact this one had actual flakes or charcoal in it that made the product feel like a real high quality product that’s actually going to work. What’s more the mask is infused with tea tree oil & green tea leaves. You can really tell just by the quality of the ingredients that it’s going to help problematic skin. It dries hard and then you simply wash off. I found my skin felt so much cleaner and softer after use & I really felt it had helped draw out any impurities. I think if you used weekly this mask would help combat issues such as acne & redness which I’m sure many people want to tackle. For me my favourite thing about this mask has to be the charchol flakes - it’s such a unique concept! ☆ British Rose fresh plumping maskI own the toner version of the British rose skincare range and I really love how it make my skin feel so I knew I’d like the mask too! I must say I wasn’t expecting the formula of the mask to be as it was - I was expecting a cream but was greeted with a jelly like formula, a lot like the toner but a little thicker. It had a lovely subtle rose scent which the toner has also. I feel this mask and the toner are very similar - almost identical infact so I suppose you could pick which one suits your routine best. As I said it is a little thicker and you leave it on your skin for 10-15 mins. This really helps the product penetrate the skin and deliver a full moisture boost ☆ it’s defiantly a moisturising mask and I would also agree with the plumping claim. It’s non greasy so prefect for even oily skin! If you want soft & hydrated skin then this is a great mask to try. ❀ chinese ginseng & rice clarifying polishing maskif you’ve read any of my other skincare based posts you’ve probably noticed how much I love the ginseng & rice milky toner from the body shop - it smells AMAZING and really clarifies the skin. Therefore I was so excited to try out the face mask version of the range - I was not disappointed! I’ve never tried a mask quite like this one before - it’s texture was something completely new - yet I love it! It was a very gritty texture which admittedly doesn’t sound nice at first, but the mask then doubled up as a face scrub when washing it off! I think this is why I loved this mask so much - you got the soothing sensation of the mask whilst you left it to sink in, but then also you could really work it into the skin upon removal, giving you that clean and pampered feeling. I think if you suffer from dry or dull skin this one would be great for you as I defiantly felt my skin looked brighter after use - and it had the same scent I love!
Have you tried any of the body shop masks? What do you think? ♡↷ Zoë x
