10/4/2018 0 Comments Spring skincare routineive really been into skincare recently & have been using a lot more products than I used to! I’m trying to use more natural skincare products as I really feel natural skincare is the way! There’s so many options nowerdays - here’s what my skincare routine has been looking like ♡↷ Morning ☼I tend not to go all out on a morning as I often don’t have the time, but I always use a face wash. I’ve been loving using the loreal fine flowers facial wash as it’s so delicate and gentle. i find in the morning I don’t have a need for a strong cleanse so this face wash works really well without overpowering my skin. Something I recently discovered is it’s recommended that like brushing your teeth, you should massage in facial products for at least 2 minutes so that they really penetrate the skin. Whenever possible I’ve been doing this and my skin really feels more cleansed.♡ Before makeup I like to spray my skin with my vitamin sea beauty sea buckthorne rose facial toner. i picked this up in tk Maxx and it smells so floral and soft ❀ rose water is know for its inflammatory properties and helps to even skin tone as well as soothing & moisturisng. The product dries very quickly meaning you don’t have to wait to apply your makeup, which is great if you’re in a rush but don’t want to neglect your skin I think it’s also a great dupe for the Mario badescu rose toner spray - I doubt there will be much difference in the formula at all ❀ Evening ☾in the evening I have more time to dedicate to my skin & I make sure to make full use of this! To remove my makeup I swear by Garniers micellar water. its totally fool proof! It can be used to remove face makeup and eye & lip makeup too. It really is a one product does all kind of situation! It literally lifts out any dirt from the skin & is very gentle & soothing. Occasionally if I’m going all out I will use the double cleanse method. For toner I alternate between the body shop ginseng and rice milky toner or the rose petal gel toner. ive spoken about both on my blog a lot & have fulll reviews on each if you wish to check them out ♡ the ginseng toner is defiantly more clarifying compared to the moisturising nature of the Rose one, so it just depends what condition my skin is in on the day ☆ My evening facewash of choice is the body shop tea tree oil wash which I’m sure you’ve heard me rave about at some point or another! i find it great to use at the end of the day as it really gets out all the dirt & grime and removes any oiliness you may have. Like I’m the morning- massaging in for 2 minutes provides maximum results and leaves a lovely cool feeling to the skin. Finally moisturiser! I traditionally used niveas daily essentials moisture boost day cream, but recently I’ve really gotten into more natural products such as facial oils. I honestly never thought I’d be putting oil on my face as I’ve worked for years to combat problem oiliness! However I’ve found using oil has actually really improved the appearance of my skin and it feels a lot smoother! I either use the NUXE dry oil or measurable differences rosehip oil. ❀ to apply these I use a jade roller which is known for its great soothing properties on the skin. Rolling in outward motions is said to help with lymphatic drainage & helps to really push the product into your skin ♡ The NUXE dry oil smells incredible - like a tropical holiday bottled! As it’s a dry oil it doesn’t feel greasy at all and sinks into the skin very easily. Oils penetrate the skin better than moisturisers meaning you get maximum effect from the product you're applying.
How pretty is the measurable difference rosehip oil - it has real dried roses suspended in the bottle ♡❀. Rosehip is known for its anti ageing properties as well as detoxing and reducing redness & scarring. A single drop of this goes along way and doesn’t leave any traces of grease on the skin. I’ve noticed a dramatic reduction in some redness I was suffering from & am so glad I’ve made the switch to more natural skincare. ❀ I’d love to know what skincare products you’ve been loving this spring ♡ Zoë x
