ive not really jumped onto the the major highlighting trend - mainly for fear of looking somewhat like the tin man.....But during summer I have enjoyed using highlighter and recently purchased the well loved sleek solstice highlighting palette. Here are my thoughts. ♡ the paCkagingi absolutely LOVE the packaging of this product! It's so.....sleek! The metallic finish makes it feel so luxurious and stylish. It certainly stands out against other products based on looks! I love how inside there is a large mirror making it great for travelling. The palette closes with a magnetic clasp - I think this makes it so much more easy to open and use if you're in a hurry. The palette comes with a small brush. I personally would not choose to use it, if I had my own fan brush to hand, but it's a nice touch. ☆ the highlight ☆The sleek solstice palette contains 2 baked powder shades, 1 silky shade and one cream shade. There are shades to suit every skin tone and skin type. The shade names are as follows: eclipse, hemisphere, equinox and sub solar. One thing I'd say about these highlighters is a little really does go along way! One swatch and my hand was glowing! ☆ they're so pigmented and defiantly worth the money. eclipseeclipse is the cream shade in the palette. It's a gorgeous Champagne colour that looks so dewy on the skin. If you're wanting to go totally extra - this would act as a perfect base for one of the powder shades. hEmisphereprobably the most subtlest shade - hemisphere is a pretty pink / lilac shade that almost has an iredescent glow. I think it would look so nice during the spring or on lighter skin tones. equinoxthis is one of the baked powders and probably my favourite shade. It's a lovely copper/bronze which is highly pigmented and would compliment a tan perfectly. subsolarsubsolar is the silky powder shade. It's a golden highlight that's sure to give of the prettiest glow! I've always been a bit weary of gold highlighters - I feel they can look a little harsh on my skin tone - but luckily subsolar does not fit this trend. ☆ i hope you enjoyed this short review of the sleek solstice palette. I'd defiantly reccomend if you're looking for a very pigmented highlighter!
Have a good week, Zoë x
