31/3/2018 0 Comments MarCh birchbox - my thoughtsBirchbox is a monthly beauty subscription service where a selection of products are sent directly to your door. March’s theme was ‘be present, not perfect’. And looked at the importance of self care and making time for yourself. I think this is a lovely theme and something we could all do with working on! I managed to pick the box up for an absolute steal at £5 and thought I’d share my feelings on this months offerings. ↷♡ Blaq peel off maskthis month you were able to pick between 2 blaq skincare goodies , either the eye mask or the peel off mask. I chose the peel off mask as I thought it would last longer than a single use, and also the product looked pretty interesting! You get a 15ml sample which I think will last me at least 5 applications. It’s a jet black gel that’s infused with charchol - known for drawing out impurities. I applied this to my t-zone and waited for it to dry before peeling off. I have to say I was expecting a bit more from this mask - I was hoping to see Visible impurities pulled out of my skin as you do with most blackhead masks, however this wasn’t the case. But saying that my skin did feel less clogged and I think this would be a great product to use in summer. ☆ Benefit bad gal bang mascara miniim sure I’m not alone when saying this was probably the main reason I wanted to get my hands on the march box - the benefit samples along retail at £10 and this mascara has been pretty hyped up! It claims to be volumising & thickening and I think I have to agree! The shape of the wand allows you to really reach every lash from root to tip & my lashes looked instantly longer & more voluminous. My only issue is it was a little clumpy but noting a lash separator couldn’t fix ♡ spectrum angled bleNder brushi was really hoping to receive this spectrum brush in my box as I’ve never tried any of their products and you can never have too many eyeshadow brushes! This is the perfect brush for running shades through the crease, or packing colour onto the outer corner. What’s more all spectrums brushes are cruelty free & super soft too! I’d love to try some more of their products. ♡ Pro blo maskme hydrAting hair maski haven’t actually tried this mask yet as I’m waiting for when my hair needs some seious pampering. This mask is a Birchbox exclusive which sounds exciting! It’s described as being a mask full of antioxidants that protect the hair, preparing it for heat styling. I can’t wait to try it ♡ Rituals foaming shower gelfianlly i received This full size rituals rice milk & cherry blossom shower gel. I’ve always wanted to try rituals skincare products - I’ve heard great things! This is such a lovely thick shower gel and it smells so sweet & floral. A little really goes a long way with this foaming formula, so I think it would be great for travelling! I will defiantly look at repurchasing this in the future ❀ So this is what I got in the march Birchbox - I’d love to know if you’ve tried any of these products too!
Have a good week, Zoë x
