5/6/2017 7 Comments Diy z PALETTEsometimes you find yourself with an empty palette except for one or two shades , or you purchase single shadows but then find them hard to store. Creating your own custom palette is a great way to solve this but can often be costly. The average z palette costs £17.50 but I have come up with a much cheaper way to create a custom palette that is also perfect for travelling. ☆ what you will need:•dental floss •superglue •scissors •magnetic strip you will also need an empty palette with a Metal base. This allows you to take the makeup pans off the base. ☆ step 1: depotting.thus is definetly the hardest part of this whole process! If not done correctly it can lead to alot of broken shadows 😪 (I found out the hard way). To depot your shadows/bronzers etc without a professional tool you can use dental floss. The trick is to slide the floss under one corner of the pan. Then using side to side motions slowly work your way along until it becomes loose enough to remove. Patience is key - don't rush this step if you want to keep your makeup in tact! sTep 2: preparing the magnets.next you want to take the magnetic strip and using the scissors cut it down into small rectangles. The magnet does not need to cover the whole of the makeup pan but make sure the size of your strip is proportionate to the makeup pan size. ♡ Step 3: glueing the magentsto allow the pans to be moved around - or kept securely in place the magnet needs to be attached to the back. To do this simply use superglue making sure the magnetic side is face down. ☆ Step 4: arrange your shades!the last and most exciting Step - take your empty palette and arrange your makeup in anyway you like. Currently in mine I have 3 benefit shadows, a mini hoola bronzer and a nyx single shadow in butterscotch. the great thing about this DIY palatte is that you chose what you include in it making it perfect for travelling in you don't want to bring multiple individual palettes with you. It also means you have something totally unique and individual too - at a fraction of the cost of other alternatives. ♡ I hope you enjoyed this weeks post,
