In this post I share the products I received in my box and my thoughts on them. ☆ the boxThe main reason I chose to buy November’s box is because of the design of the box! I adore vogue and I think it would be perfect to use as a storage box or simply as decoration. There are 2 box designs this month - you can choose which box you want if you follow a link on their Facebook. I chose the ‘rose repeat’ design as I loved the metallic lettering ☆ the box is smaller than I thought but I still love it all the same. ♡ birchbox brush cleaner padIn every box there is a Birchbox makeup brush cleaner pad. Now - one thing I hate is cleaning makeup brushes so anything that claims to make it less painful is something I’m willing to try out! I just take a squirt of face wash or shampoo on the pad and then massage in the brush. The little grooves do make it easier to get a thorough clean and the pointy tip is designed for smaller brushes. This was a very welcome addition to my box! benefit hoola bronzerevery subscriber also receives a mini benefit hoola bronzer. This was also a huge factor in deciding to purchase the box. I think in boots this mini bronzer is about £10 alone so this with all the products you get with Birchbox for only (RRP) £12.95 seems pretty good value this month. I think hoola is a great bronzer for light skin and Is very buildable. However sometimes I find it a little too grey toned and it can apply quite patchy. Luckily it can be used for contour and eyeshadow too so I’m sure to get my use out of it. ♡ The next products vary with each persons box - what I got does not necessarily mean you would receive the same items.♡ Nuxe multipurPose dry oilI have seen this dry oil by nuxe on so many blogs and in magazines. I feel it’s an essential product that I was yet to try. However saying this - oil does stress me out a bit - I just hate the thought of rubbing it into my skin or hair for fear of it going greasy. That aside this nuxe dry oil does smell incredible - it’s like a really classy sophisticated fragrance that reminds me of holidays abroad. I’ve not been brave enough to try it on my face or hair yet but I have been suffering from dry hands and a small amount of this helps to soften them. It blends in surprising well and does not feel greasy at all. Within a few seconds it’s no longer sitting on the skin and you’re left with soft skin and a beautiful fragrance. If anyone else has tried this oil out I’d love to know what you use it for.☆ klorane dry shampooi was a little dissapointed to receive a dry shampoo in my box - I just feel like it’s a bit of A cop out. Dry shampoo is something I would happily buy myself for little money so I don’t think it really fits in to the whole beauty discovery thing. The dry shampoo I was given is the klorane dry shampoo with oat milk. It has a very light fragrance and it’s unique selling point is that it does not leave any white residue. Being blonde - this is not an issue for me but I suppose If you have dark hair no white residue could be something desirable. This dry shampoo works just like every other but honestly I would not repurchase as I prefer a stronger scent and would not be willing to spend £8 on the full size. percy & reed no Oil oili feel Percy & reed products are a classic beauty give away product! Being another oil type product I wasn’t best pleased but I decided to give it a go anyway. This is like a serum that you run through your hair before drying. It’s supposed to take frizz and help you create a smoother finish. I think it does make my hair a little sleeker when drying it but it isn’t something I haven’t experienced from a product before. I do like how soft my hair felt after a few uses and I hope it is protecting against heat damage. I probably would not purchase this product but it was nice to try out. ♡ As I say , you may not receive this specific mix of products in your box - I saw some people had clarins hand creams and my ultimate nail product - seche vite, so I suppose it’s just luck of the draw! I’m glad I didn’t pay full price as they allow students a 50% discount with a valid student id on your first box. I may purchase another box in the future if there are any more collaborations I like as I think the actual boxes are really cute! Let me know if you intend to purchase, or if you have what products you received.♡
